Afurja Waterfall

Begin your tour with a visit to Afurja Waterfall, the tallest waterfall in Azerbaijan, located in the picturesque Tengalti Gorge. Standing at an impressive 75 meters, the waterfall is a sight to behold as it cascades down the rocks, surrounded by the natural beauty of the gorge. The name Afurja translates to “water splashes” in Russian. Nearby, visitors can explore natural springs and even catch a glimpse of eagles, which are listed in the Red Book for endangered species in the region.

Juma Mosque

Next, visit the Juma Mosque, an architectural masterpiece and one of the oldest mosques in Azerbaijan. Established in 1730, the village was once home to 10 synagogues, though today only two remain.
