The tour begins in the morning at the agreed time. A private driver will meet guests in the lobby of their hotel to start an exciting journey to Lankaran, a city rich in history and natural beauty.

Lankaran Fortress

The first stop is the Lankaran Fortress, an architectural monument built in the 18th century. This fortress, with its historical significance, stands as a reminder of Lankaran's past military importance. Visitors will explore the exterior of the fortress and learn about its role in the defense of the region during its active years.

Round Fortress (Zindan Fortress)

Next, visit the Round Fortress, also known as Zindan Fortress. Constructed between 1747 and 1768, the fortress served as a critical stronghold during military operations until 1869. One of the towers was later used as a prison, and the other was converted into a lighthouse. Today, the Round Fortress remains a historical symbol and can be viewed from the outside.

House of Mirakhmad Khan

Continue your tour with a visit to the House of Mirakhmad Khan, a stunning example of Eastern architecture located in the center of Lankaran since 1913. Interestingly, French architects were involved in its design, yet they successfully incorporated Eastern craftsmanship and architectural beauty. The three-story structure was the first multi-story urban building in Lankaran, showcasing the elegance and grandeur of the Khan’s residence.

Hirkan National Park

After exploring the historical landmarks of Lankaran, guests will head to the breathtaking Hirkan National Park, established in 2004. The park covers 43 hectares across the Lankaran and Astara regions and is known for its dense forests and diverse plant species. With about 1,900 species of plants, including 162 endemic species, 95 rare species, and 38 endangered species, Hirkan National Park is a haven for nature enthusiasts. Explore the park’s trails, and immerse yourself in the serene beauty of this ecological wonder.
